ABOUT
Edward G. Carmines is Warner O. Chapman Professor of Political Science and Rudy Professor at Indiana University. He is also the director of the Center on American Politics and the research director at the Center on Congress at Indiana University. His research focuses on American politics, especially elections, public opinion, and political behavior. He has published widely in the major journals in the discipline including the American Political Science Review, American Journal of Political Science, and Journal of Politics. He is the coauthor of six books, two of which won the American Political Science Association’s Gladys M. Kammerer Award for best book in the field of U.S. national policy. Issue Evolution was also awarded the Philip E. Converse Award from the American Political Science Association for an outstanding and influential book. Four of his papers presented at academic conferences have won outstanding paper awards.
